Surveys = Free Stuff!

So, as I mentioned in the past, I've been cashing in on the rewards for taking surveys to feed my craft supply addiction by earning $10-$20 here and there. Well, the cool bonus is that just over this past month, I've also received Huggies Baby Wipes and Iams Cat Food in large quanties to test and give my opinion on. Well, in that case, it'd be my cat Sketch's opinion on for the kitty food. The baby wipes survey lasted one week and the Iams cat food survey I am currently testing is a 2+ week supply. I've never bought Iams for the simple fact that it is on the pricey side and my kitties seem to be just as happy with the Friskies that I feed them. The free grub for them has been nice on the purse strings though! I had always thought that when the survey companies sent product to test, they didn't reveal the brand its from, but that hasn't been the case so far with these folks. The survey's are fun and cover a wide range of topics. Most only take about 5 minutes to complete!

Design Your Own Dress

Via Shefinds, Dress By Design is a site that let's the user create their very own custom dress in a step by step process, right down to picking out the fabric and neckline! At $189, it's not a service I forsee myself using anytime soon, but playing around with the online dressmaker was quite fun! Here's the dress I designed.

Fixed!

Over the weekend I moved hosting spots for craftandbake.tv and in the midst of doing this, some of the photos were not showing up from earlier blog posts. I've just fixed all but a couple of them in case anyone came here from doing a web search.

AlternaCrafts

Earlier this month (actually, in my last post) I blogged about a new book I discovered called AlternaCrafts. Well, I finally got a chance to sit down and flip through it... finally, a new craft book with fun new projects to make that hasn't been recycled from internet websites! There are several pages tagged for my to-do list from this book! I can't wait to try the 'newspaper flowers.' There are knitting projects in this book too. I don't know how to knit (or crochet for that matter!), but I know there are a bunch of online crafters who do know how to, so I thought I should mention it. Anywho, the book also has one of those spiral bindings too, so it makes it easier to flatten the pages out when reading the project pages. I wish all craft books were made like that... This book gets a thumbs-up.

Funding my Craft Supply Addiction!

Coolness! I've recently found a new source of funds, moola, cashola to feed my craft supply purchasing obession by taking surveys for cash. It actually does work too! Okay, so I'm not going to start a craft supply empire from the money, but a check for $20 here and there has been a nice treat. The site also offers rewards for taking surveys outside of getting the money, but I'm not really into that other stuff. Just keep sending me the checks please. :)
